– Family meal plan with a toddler –

Last week I completely fell off the bandwagon, I didn’t meal plan, I wasn’t very organised and we ended up having takeaway twice in one week (spending even more money) as we ran out of food pretty quickly.. This always seems to happen when I don’t meal plan and I regret not doing it straight away, so this week I have written my meal plan & shopping list the night before the food shop. This is what I have planned for this week: (all meals are made so that Alyssia can eat them too, we use dairyfree butter in our mashed potato so that she can have it aswell)

Monday – Pasta bake & garlic bread.

Tuesday – Cottage pie with carrots & peas.

Wednesday – (dinner at my Grandads)

Thursday – Pork chops, new potatoes & green beans.

Friday – Bangers and mash with carrots.

Saturday – Homemade potato wedges & southern fried chicken with corn on the cob and a side of onion rings.

Sunday – Roast chicken dinner.

I’ve already got most of the ingredients for these meals, I just need to do a quick top up shop which will hopefully save us money in the long run. We usually have takeaway night on a Friday or Saturday, I always have my favourite chicken balls & chips with sweet and sour sauce but this week I have decided to swap it for:

Homemade potato wedges & southern fried chicken with corn on the cob and a side of onion rings.

I am looking forward to trying our healthy swap this week, and am so glad I have finally found the motivation to meal plan again. Last week I really lost myself and felt so under the weather, let’s hope for a better week even with it being a rainy bank holiday Monday too.

Thanks for reading,

Zoe x
