I can’t believe it’s been exactly 15 months since you entered my life, time sure does fly.. (they weren’t lying were they) when I was pregnant with you, life was quite busy.. we moved into our own flat, prepared for your arrival and waited patiently.. you put me through alot, the sickness, the heartburn, the tiredness, the sciatica, the threatened preterm labour, all of it – but I am thankful, for you are here now.. and you are healthy.
At 36 weeks pregnant, I started to have contractions and I was told I was 3cm already. We all thought that you were ready to arrive, it was a scary time but I was ready for you.. and then the contractions started to get milder.. weeks went by, your due date arrived and you still weren’t here. It’s almost like you were tricking me, you little monkey. 7 days after your due date, you finally arrived (in fashion, very nearly born in the car but hey) you came into my life and you taught me what love was, unconditional love.
You have taught me so much over the past 15 months. Thank you for being the reason I get up every day, Thank you for giving me a purpose, thank you for all the memories and all the smiles. Thank you for having a personality that shines brighter than the sun.
Thank you for making me love my body, (don’t get me wrong I’m still not 100% happy with it, but I love my body so much more now it has carried you) I want you to be confident, I want you to love yourself. I will not pass any of my body issues on to you, because I am working on them now. Thank you for being my reason to get better, to recover from a horrible illness. Thank you for reminding me that I need to look after myself and that thinking positively is an absolute must, I deserve it and so do you.
Thank you baby, for being such an amazing little girl. What you have given us in just 15 months is incredible, you have completed me and my heart couldnt be fuller.
I love you to the moon & back.
