If you’re anything like me you probably don’t care as much when it comes to clothes for yourself. Life is about your baby now, any spare cash gets spent on your little one and a wardrobe of new clothes are at the bottom of the priority list. Before having children I loved fashion, I loved clothes, makeup, buying all the nail supplies, the whole works (I’ll admit I was never very good at it) but I knew what looked okay and what didn’t. A few months ago I wrote a post about finding my style again, and if I’m honest I’m still not completely there. I’ve found myself slipping back into my old ways & I needed a little pick me up so I chose a few things from an online clothing company called LOTD, they sell affordable but fashionable clothing and it is perfect for mums who need a little pick me up. I’m not one to buy skirts & bright floral prints, I’m usually your average black & white kinda girl with leggings being my holy grail. I decided to throw a little bit of denim into the works this time & I am excited to back into jeans. If you read my last ‘fashion’ post, you’ll know that I have a bit of a love hate relationship with jeans and I’d usually go for something high waisted to hide my mum tum but not this time.
Denim Jacket – I am in LOVE with this denim jacket, I’ve had my eye on one for quite a while now and I am planning on buying a few pins & patches to make it my own.
Denim Jeans – Since becoming a mum I have literally lived in leggings but I felt like it was about time I stepped out of comfort zone and got myself back into a pair of ripped jeans.
Black Cherry tee – Oh I love this tee, plain and simple but also so effective. I showed my partner and he laughed a little as the cherries cover your chest but I love it and these are so in fashion at the moment.
Black Bad Girls Club tee – This is cool, it’s plain at the front which makes it simplistic but has writing on the back. I feel like black t-shirts can be styled with absolutely anything whether that be just walking around the house or even if you’re going out out.
Burgundy Jumper – I have been a fan of burgundy all winter and I was last year so to speak. 2 years in a row now I have dyed my hair a burgundy red at Christmas and you would of thought a burgundy jumper would clash with my hair but it really doesn’t. I love the detail on the back of this jumper too.
Pink Jumper – Now pink isn’t a colour that I usually wear, I’m a natural blonde but since I started dying my hair I have been very much into blacks, whites & darker colours. This pink jumper isn’t something I would usually go for, not only because of the colour but because of the batwing style too, I probably could have done with getting the next size up so it comes across as more oversized but I do actually quite like it.
If you’re looking to change up your wardrobe a little in the new year, why not head over to LOTD and plan your next Look of the day.
