Buttons n’ Bows

Over the past few weeks I have discovered Instagram shops, I have always been envious of the people that buy from them and have always wanted to support them as my Auntie used to have a craft shop herself. I have been on Instagram for quite a while now, and if you have been following me for a long time you will know that Instagram is where it all started.

Buttons n’ Bows is a small business over on Instagram that sell beautiful baby & children’s hair bows, I was sent three lovely hair bows from this lovely little business and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you all.

This week we received some more happy post. The first thing I loved when I opened up our parcel was the card design, I love the chevron pattern and think the colours work really well with her design. I think the words “Handmade with love x” was a really lovely touch and it show’s that this lovely lady has put a lot of love into making her products.

We received 3 bows, a blue sparkly bow, a black & white sparkly bow and a mint unicorn print bow with embellished wings. My favourite bow out of the three would probably be the black and white design, I have always dressed in black & white and probably always will – I always try and dress Alyssia in bright colours, but I feel like no matter what colour your outfit is – the black and white bow will work perfectly.

The blue bow would go nicely with denim, or a blue top. Overall I felt like this bow was the best quality, it felt stronger than the other 2 as it was made with a thicker material.

The Unicorn bow I really loved, however it was made with quite a thin material which made it quite flimsy, but on the other hand would be better for smaller children as it isn’t so heavy. I love the wings on the bow and Alyssia wore this bow with a green and pink dress from marks and spencers.

The prices are reasonable at just £3.50 a bow and if I’m honest for the amount of work that goes into making them, I think this is a brilliant price.

I was super impressed with how quickly we received our products too, the business is very easy to contact over Instagram and they respond pretty much straight away.

As a Mummy to a 15 month old toddler, I was also really impressed to find a Safety Warning within our parcel.

“Due to the hand made nature of the products please ensure they are removed from babies / children when sleeping and ensure babies / children are supervised at ALL times whilst being worn. This removes the risk of suffocation and choking.
Please note a headband being worn should never be tight leaving a mark remaining on a baby / child’s head. It should fit comfortably and be secure but not tight.
Please never leave your baby / child unattended at any time with these products as they also may contain small sharp parts such as the alligator clip fastening and can present a choking / suffocation / injury hazard which can also be dangerous if detached and swallowed. You are fully responsible for your baby / child and under no circumstances will Buttons n’ bows be responsible / liable for any accidents or injury.
The safety of your baby / child is paramount to us at Buttons n’ Bows – we hope you enjoy our products safely and responsibly.
Many thanks for your custom.
With love x “

I thought that it was so responsible of the business to include a safety warning as I know a lot of business’ don’t, therefore the parents don’t always think of the risks that come with these products.

Overall I really loved these bows, and would be happy to receive them again. I also think that they would make a great gift. Go over to Instagram & support this lovely little business.

You can find Buttons n’ bows on Instagram and facebook.

Thanks for reading,
