Christmas Gift Guide 2020 – Something for everyone.

This year I’ve decided to put together a Christmas Gift Guide full of ideas for the whole family. 2020 has been one hell of a year but one thing they can’t cancel is Christmas, right? I have been super organised this year and managed to get all my Christmas shopping finished by October (I know, I shock myself!) but with all that’s happened this year, I wanted to make sure I was organised in case we went back into lockdown. If you haven’t already started your Christmas shopping, hopefully this gift guide will give you a few ideas on what to buy your loved ones this year.

First lets start with Advent Calendars, if you’re not sure on what to get somebody for Christmas why not buy them an advent calendar and give it to them at the start of December instead? With Amazon Prime it would be an ideal time to order. This way they can enjoy your gift for the whole month. There are so many different types of Advent Calendars out there now, as well as your basic milkybar calendar you can also get calendars full of toys like the Happyland one (We had this one last year and the girls loved it!) or advent calendars for adults, if you have a coffee lover in the family the Beanies Advent Calendar would make the perfect gift.

Toot Toot Friends Moonlight Camper – As soon as I saw this, I had to buy it. This is a 2-in-1 campervan and campsite toy with day and night mode! It includes a Mummy, Daddy and Baby figure and features beautiful light projections, sounds, fun phrases, campsite accessories and more! This will be Isabelle’s main Christmas present and I can’t wait to see her face on Christmas Day. Its currently £24.99 on Amazon.

Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Candy Delight Playset – I feel like Playdoh will always be a winning present at Christmas, the perfect gift for imaginative play, the children can pretend they’re the owners of a candy store whilst creating their own gummy bears using the moulds and tools provided. This is currently £25.99 on Amazon.

Crayola Washimals – These are great gifts, ultimately they are plastic animals that you can colour in with washable markers and then wash them off and start again. When I first came across these I saw the bigger set which is around £20, I was going to get it as a shared present for my girls but then I saw that Argos sell smaller sets of 3 that are on their 2 for £15 offer so I snapped these up for £7.50 each. Splitting presents between children on the 2 for £15 offer at Argos is a great way of saving money.

Build Your House Building Blocks Playset– I found this in Smyths for just £8 which I thought was a bargain for a set like this, I know my 2 year old will absolutely love it. Smyths have a brilliant under £10 section on their website that I would highly recommend if you are shopping on a budget.

*Skiphop Zoo Rolling Luggage (Unicorn) – This would make the perfect gift for any upcoming holidays you have planned or even just a sleepover at the grandparents. I know a lot of people will be doing short breaks next year, ourselves included so this would be perfect to hold all the children’s clothes in. They would love the novelty of wheeling this around to go on holiday. This comes in all different designs, Unicorn, Giraffe Fox, Butterfly, Ladybug, Monkey and Owl. The Unicorn design is currently £35 on Amazon.

Marble Run – My 4 year old has been asking for this game since she first discovered it at nursery, now she goes to school they have it their too and she still really enjoys playing with it so I decided to get it for her. It’s currently £15 in Argos which I thought was a pretty good price. Its a game that will last and one that we can all play together which will be nice.

Ryan’s World Gelli Worlds – This would make a great gift for any child who is a fan of the famous Youtube channel ‘Ryan’s World’. My two absolutely loved playing with this. You get an inflatable tray with 5 small bags of the gelli powder along with 6 little toy figures. It was super easy to set up, all I had to do was blow up the inflatable tray, add approx 3 litres of warm water and then add 1 of the sachets. Within minutes of stirring, the gelli formed and it was so much fun. I love that this is an activity that can be done again and again as there are 5 sachets included. RRP £17.99 but I have seen the Ryan’s World Gelli Baff on Amazon for 4.99.

Slime Baff / Glitter Slime Baff – These would make fantastic stocking fillers, if you have a child who loves slime. It would be fun for the children to get messy in the bath but also a must have for mum as there wont be slime all over the house. They come in a range of different colours, including a pink glitter one which my girls are obsessed with.

Barbie Chelsea Camper Van – A much cheaper alternative to the big barbie camper that all the girls are asking for this Christmas, I found a smaller cheaper camper that I think my 4 year old daughter will absolutely love. This is currently £35 in Argos & Smyths but I have seen it as low as £29.99 on Amazon so its always good to check google for the best deals.

Hexbug Nano Flash Playground Set – A popular toy that wont disappoint. The Hexbug Nano is a robotic toy, kids can build fun playgrounds for the newly designed flash nano and 2 regular nanos using colourful jelly walls, tracks and unique obstacles like the 2 merry-go-rounds. Watch as the flash nanos scurry across their all new environment. Currently £24.99 in Smyths.

Lego Adventures with Mario Starter Course – This is another toy proving very popular this year, this is an interactive lego set that connects to your device. Collect virtual coins with Mario on the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course Set. The LEGO Mario figure reacts to action bricks and enemies with instant LCD animations and sounds. Jump from the ? Block, spinning and cloud platforms, battling the Goomba and Bowser Jr. LEGO figures as you go. Rearrange the bricks to create new levels, or combine with LEGO Super Mario Expansion Sets for more ways to play (each sold separately). I love the concept of this and it is currently on offer in Asda for £38.

Monopoly for Sore Losers – a fun family game for ages 8+, With this hilarious edition of the Monopoly board game, the annoying things like paying rent or going to Jail actually help players get ahead in the game. The Monopoly For Sore Losers game will have players wanting to land on useless board spaces, pay taxes and rent, and even go to Jail because they’ll collect Sore Loser coins. I love the idea of this and think it would make a great gift this Christmas. Currently on offer on Amazon for £17.99.

*Haribo Starmix Dorothy Box – You can’t really go wrong with a box of Haribo can you? These are just £2 a box in Asda and would make a great stocking filler / gift to go alongside a main present.

*Beanies Coffee 3 Jar Stash – Do you have a coffee lover in the family? This would make the perfect christmas gift, a box of 3 christmassy flavoured coffee jars, this contains flavours: Christmas pudding, Mince Pie and Mulled Wine. Currently priced at £9.99 on Amazon.

Busy B Dotty Hello 2021 Family Calendar – What better gift than a brand new calendar for the next year? I have got this one on my Christmas list this year! I love a family calendar as it has enough collumns for everyone. This is £10 in John Lewis. *Magnitone’s First Step Cleansing Set –

*Smells like Christmas Movies & Snuggles Candle – Do you know someone who loves candles? This one is for you. This candle really does as it says on the box – Smells like Christmas movies & snuggles. I chose the scent Orange & Cinnamon but there are many different scents to choose from alongside label colours. These candles are hand poured by a company called Kindred Fires in Manchester. All candles are beautifully wrapped in a tissue lined box with eco shredded kraft and presented with a decorative paper dust cover which should be removed before lighting. These are £17 with free delivery.

*Mermaid Salt Vodka – This beautiful bottle of Mermaid Salt Vodka from the Isle of Wight Distillery, is infused with island sea salt for a uniquely smooth finish and flavour ‘like the subtle kiss of a mermaid’. This would make a lovely gift. Plastic-free and Net Zero, it’s an environmentally-friendly vodka with a hint of sea air. 40% ABV. You can buy this for £42.00 in John Lewis. Also available at Master of Malt.

*Poo Pourri Secret Santa Bathroom Spray – This is a Christmas scented bathroom spray that you actually spray into the toilet before you go, this would make a nice little stocking filler. Currently £9.42 on Amazon.

*The Logo Board Game – A fun quiz game for all the family, aimed at ages 12 and over. This would be the perfect game to play on Christmas Day with the family. Currently £20 in The Works.

*A Zest for Life Cookbook – a cook book packed full of colourful, energising recipes, made with ingredients that taste great and also help you to feel great! These fresh and tasty recipes will make eating well effortless as they are easy to prepare and absolutely delicious.  This is a must have in every kitchen. Currently £9.99 on Amazon.
