Declutter your home, a new years checklist

Declutter your home, a new years checklist

We’re 3 days into the new year and it’s not been a great start for me. I’ve been in my PJ’s for the past few days, feeling unwell and wanting to sleep the days away. I wanted the house all sorted for new years eve so that we could enter 2018 with a fresh, clean home. But instead I’ve only done half a job and I’ve had to take some time out for myself. I feel stressed, irritated and tired but forcing myself to sort everything out isn’t going to help. However I have managed to catch up on a bit of sleep this week and I am hoping to finally get this house tidy once and for all. I have just watched Georgina Clarke’s speed cleaning video *8 months pregnant edition* and it motivated me to do the same. It is just what I needed and if you haven’t checked out her channel already, you totally should.

I am a big fan of writing lists, I always have been so I figured I would write a general decluttering to do list that will most probably apply to most households unless you are super organised or have a cleaner…

As I said, I am on a mission to get this house spotless. I might not have completed it by the new year but I am going to do it this month at least. I read somewhere that its good to have a little declutter every month or at least every few months, it really is amazing how much stuff we accumulate just by being us. I hope this post helped, if it did don’t forget to share it and or leave me a comment.
