Meal Planning / 25 Family Meal Ideas

One thing that has really helped me feel more organised and like I’ve got my life together lately is meal planning, I used to meal plan every week, buy our shopping on a budget and make the most out of what we had in the house but when I was in my first trimester I was quite poorly and wasn’t up to even thinking about food let alone cooking it so I will admit I completely fell off the bandwagon. I am always struggling to think of meals that we can have each week without it being the same old.. so I figured I would write a big list of meal ideas not only for myself to look back on but for you guys to look at when you’re stuck with what to buy for the week..

Spaghetti Bolognese
Pasta Bake & Garlic Bread
New potatoes, Chicken Breasts & Veg
Sweet potato chips, Chicken Burgers & Peas
Hunters Chicken, Rice & Flatbread
Bangers & Mash with Cabbage
Lasagne & Garlic Bread
Omelette & Homemade Chips with Beans
Jacket Potato, Cheese & Beans with Salad/Coleslaw
Potato Salad, Coleslaw (Both homemade) Chinese pork chops and tiger bread
Sausage Casserole (slow cooked) with Mash & Veg
Roast Dinner with all the trimmings
Chicken Tikka Massala, Rice & Naan Bread
Cottage Pie
Chilli Con Carne with Rice, Salad & Wraps
Gammon, Egg & Chips with Peas
All Day Breakfast
Spaghetti & Meatballs
Homemade Sweet potato chips & Beef Burgers
Chicken/Beef/Pork Stir Fry
Roast Potatoes, Minced Beef Pie & Veg
Chicken Steaks, Homemade Wedges & Greenbeans
Hot Dogs & Onion Rings
Toad in the hole
Pizza, Salad & Coleslaw

So there’s 25 quite straight forward meals that we eat regularly, I now have no excuse not to know what to buy for meals as there’s only 7 days in a week and I’ve got 25 ideas there.. meal planning really does help me go forward and it saves me a lot of money in the long run.. if you haven’t tried it already, I really suggest that you do..
