The start of something new

Some of you may already know me from instagram @mummyandliss but for those of you who don’t..

I’m Zoe. I’m 18 years old and a first time mum to babygirl Alyssia Grace, born February 2016. She is definitely the most amazing thing that has happened so far in mine & her daddies life – we absolutely adore her.

Robert is my partner of 2 years, we got together when we were both 16 and had our little girl Alyssia when we were both 17. Before having Alyssia I was in a very dark place, suffering very badly with depression & anxiety but becoming a mum was by far the best thing I have ever done.

As i say, my experience of motherhood so far has been challenging but so rewarding and even with a near 1 year old it really is just the beginning of our lives together. I am very excited for our future and really want to remember these memories and share them with you all.

So seen as its a new year, I  have decided to start blogging. I feel like new year gives everybody a chance to set some new goals, take a look at where you are in life and decide where you want to be. My biggest goal this year is to make the most of everyday, whether that be the days I spend out and about exploring with Alyssia or the days we spend at home lazing around.
Without even realising it, this past month has flown by.. we are already getting towards the end of January 2017 which means that my tiny 8lb baby girl is going to be a whole year old in just a matter of weeks. Where has the time gone? I feel like I have just blinked and the year has completely disappeared which is why I am so glad that I took so many pictures & posted so many posts on instagram to document the first year of Alyssias life. I am still going to do this, but I am hoping that this blog will give me the chance to fully talk about my life as a young mum & help me to build my confidence.

Thank you for reading my first ever blog post,

Zoe x
