Valentines day creeps up on me every year and I am never prepared. I’m very much a last minute shopper and usually order something the week before in hope that it will arrive in time.. But I am looking forward to valentines day this year, it will be our 5th year together and although we wont be going out for dinner because we have 2 girls to get to bed, we will be having a cosy night in with a takeaway to save on dishes and a film – it’s the little things. I’m not very good at valentines gifts, I mean what the hell do you buy a man? Socks & a Lynx set like they get on every occasion or do I need to think a little bit harder about this one, hmm.. with Valentines day just around the corner I thought I’d put together a mini gift guide. From keyrings to dash cams, I’ve got it covered:
Wallet – A great gift for your boyfriend, husband, partner on Valentines Day. It’s a genuine leather wallet with the Zippo design that comes in a range of colours, e.g black, brown, mocha etc.. it also comes wrapped in a nice little gift box which is ideal for Valentines Day. It holds 2 cards, bank notes, coins and had a plastic pocket inside. RRP £24.90
Windproof Lighter – All Zippo lighters are windproof which I think is amazing, I know this is something my partner would really appreciate. This also comes in a range of designs and comes in a small gift box. I love that this brand have a lifetime guarantee in that if it breaks they will fix it for free. Amazing! RRP. £16.45+
Dash Cam – The nextbase Dash cam would make a brilliant gift, dash cams are very popular these days and are there for your safety. Unlike most other dash cams, the 412GW doesn’t require you to plug and unplug the power cable every time you get in the car which makes life that little bit easier. RRP. £129.99
Box of Favours – The ultimate new gift for someone special this valentines day. I love the concept behind these boxes, on the box there is a quote that says “Its not how much we give but how much we put into giving” – Mother Teresa. The boxes includes: Favour cards (10 set e.g – Breakfast in bed, Movie of Choice, tea/coffee etc) and 5 plain so you can write your own. It also includes a little contract that you sign between yourselves which I thought was quite funny. RRP. £9.99

The set contains a 300ml Body Wash, 300ml Shower Crème, 300ml Bath Milk, 150g Boxed Soap, 130ml Hand & Body Lotion and 100g Bath Soak Crystals. Chocolates – One of the most cliche valentines gifts alongside a little teddy but very much appreciated none the less. Who doesn’t love a box of chocolates? I know I do!
Flowers – Every woman loves a bunch of flowers, Roses are very popular on valentines day.
Perfume – Another great gift if you’re stuck on what to buy, there are always offers on around valentines day.
FOR BOTH OF YOU:
Lovers name a star set – Is there a gesture more romantic than naming a star after the one you love? It won’t fail to bring a moment of awe and wonder to a special occasion. The perfect gift for valentines day. This gift enables you to register two names and two stars on a unique and specialised Intergalactic Star Database which is such a fun idea and a great way to show your loved one that you care this valentines.
Personalised Keyrings – I love personalised gifts so have chosen this personalised keyring set made from walnut wood. You can personalise it with your names and the day you got together / the day you got married which is a lovely idea. It’s a nice addition to your bunch of keys and a little bit of your loved one will always be with you which is nice.
I hope this little gift guide has given you some inspiration if you have no idea what to buy your loved one this Valentines Day. Its also worth checking your local supermarkets for gifts as they often stock some lovely bits.. I know sainsburys have a lovely range this year!
